Reconciliation Day is a chance for Canberrans to come together, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive future.

Held on Monday, 2 June 2025 from 10am – 3pm, this special day invites our community to engage in truth-telling, knowledge-sharing, and healing.

Join us at Commonwealth Park for a free, family-friendly event filled with live music, cultural performances, conversation, and food – all celebrating the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme, Bridging Now to Next, invites us to honour the past, act in the present, and build a better future. It’s a call to continue the journey-drawing on the lessons of history to guide the way forward.

Headline act announced – Kobie Dee

We’re thrilled to announce that internationally renowned rapper and master storyteller Kobie Dee will be the headline act at the 2025 Reconciliation Day event!

Kobie is a talented and powerful Indigenous artist known for his thought-provoking music and dedication to social change. He’s ready to bring his unique sound to the stage, and we can’t wait to see him perform!  In addition to his performance, Kobie will also be mentoring the school vocal competition, helping young artists develop their talents and confidence.

Kobie’s powerful music and work with the next generation exemplifies the 2025 National Reconciliation Week Theme – reflecting the ongoing connection between past, present and future and the aspiration for a more inclusive Australia for future generations.

This incredible opportunity is made possible thanks to our partnership with NMRA, supporting this wonderful celebration of music, culture, and connection.
