At 1WAY FM, we love bringing stories of hope, transformation, and inspiration to our listeners—and our recent visit from the Watoto Children’s Choir was all of that and more.

The studio came alive as the talented young performers from Uganda shared their stories and voices with us in an unforgettable live interview and mini performance. With bright smiles and energetic songs, the choir brought a taste of their vibrant culture and deep faith to our community.

Who Are Watoto?

For those unfamiliar, Watoto is a holistic care ministry that rescues vulnerable children in Uganda and South Sudan, raising them to become future leaders. The choir is made up of children who have faced incredible challenges, including the loss of one or both parents. Despite these hardships, they radiate joy and purpose—sharing a powerful message of God’s love everywhere they go.

Each child shared how being part of the Watoto family has transformed their lives, offering not only education and healthcare but also a strong spiritual foundation.

A Message That Resonates

During the interview, choir members and their leaders spoke about their current tour across Australia, themed around “Better Days”—a powerful declaration that no matter your past, your future can be full of promise.
