A day out at St John’s Community fair took an unexpected turn for little O’Brian’s family. Jack Russell Terrior lovingly nicknamed OB by his family saw a rat and true to breed chased it into a tree. Upon entering the tree OB saw a possum and began to climb to catch up to his new friend, landing himself in a bit of a predicament. Poor OB was stuck!
His owners managed to snag a snag from one of the stalls to try and coax their beloved pet from the tree, to no avail.
Thankfully the Jerrabomberra Rural Fire Service had a stall at the fair and came to their aid.
With help from the medieval reenactment society who had tools to help cut the tree, little OB was saved! There were many cheers from the crowd upon OB’s retrieval.
This experience really showed how community bands together to help one another in times of stress.
