As the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan unfolds, there are many organisations standing in the gap to support those who have been displaced and are vulnerable. Here are a few of the organisations providing hope.
Christian Faith and Freedom
Christian Faith and Freedom are launching an urgent appeal to support persecuted Christians in Afghanistan. 100% of donations to to providing the rapid aid relief that is so desperately needed in Afghanistan.
Baptist World Aid
Baptist World Aid have some really helpful advocacy steps, a prayer and news update, Prayer for Afghanistan: The heartbreak we share and are also launching an appeal to help support Christian partners in the Afghanistan region during this time of crisis.
Anglican Relief and Development Fund Australia (ARDFA)
ADRFA have launched a #Giving Hope campaign for Afghanistan to give emergency provisions to Afghan refugees who have managed to cross the border into neighbouring countries, such as Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, with nothing but their lives.
Though thousands of Afghans are trying to flee the repressive rule of the Taliban, World Vision, which has been providing aid to the country for decades, said they will remain.
“We remain committed to the Afghan people,” World Vision CEO, Daniel Wordsworth said.
“We remain committed to getting kids educated, and to having families have a life where they have clean water and they have health care. And I don’t actually see those things stopping.”
