We enter Holy week, will you join us?
I wonder if you believe that Easter is about chocolate eggs and bunnies, hot cross buns, holidays and camping and home improvement.
But NONE of that has anything to do with Easter. Nothing. Yet it is what we and perhaps you celebrate this coming week.
INSTEAD you should know that Easter is the week set aside each year to consider what it means for Jesus to enter Jerusalem as King.
ONLY then to be given up by one of his own inner circle and arrested.
TO be mocked and ridiculously tried, condemned!
AND to be tortuously crucified.
TO be truly dead on Saturday night.
BUT to be raised, conquering death, for you, on Easter Sunday.
That is Easter.
So if you are someone who mocks, jeers or ridicules Easter AND have never really opened a bible or investigated the claims of Christians, then Ain’t it time you did?
Because if Jesus really did what he promised, rose from the dead, then wouldn’t you want to know?
