BIBLICAL STORYTELLING FOR EVERYONE
SATURDAY 30th March 2019 – 9.30 am to 3.30 pm

Sessions include
* Break open the word – methods & skills for ALL THE CHURCH COMMUNITY to learn & tell the Scripture Stories whether at home with the family, in a Bible study, reading in Services or in other settings when we convey God’s word.
* Lent & Easter – We will look at skills we can use for telling the stories of this blessed season in our life of faith, Jeff will also tell passages from the Passion stories & other Easter stories.
* Opportunities to learn & tell a scripture on the day.
* Input on the definition of Biblical storytelling, what is it, what is the role of sacred storytelling in the church & in worship, preaching the good news, making disciples & pastoral care.
* The Scriptural, theological, missional & theoretical basis for biblical storytelling & a spiritual underpinning for the ministry of Biblical Storytelling.
Who should come?
Any & all persons who share the ‘good news’ (i.e., the good story) of Jesus: e.g. parents, Bible study & ministry leaders, readers of the Word and all those who delight to hear God’s story.
Cost: half day $25.00, full day $35.00 (if cost prohibitive, we welcome your donation)
