Starting February there will be some exciting changes to our program schedule.
Open House is returning to 1WAY FM. It’s a weekly three-hour live talkback radio show exploring life, faith and hope from a Christian perspective. Presented by journalist Stephen O’Doherty, and produced by Hope Media in Sydney. Tune in Sunday nights from 7pm to 10pm, starting from 4 February.
Alex is moving out of Friday morning Café to start a show called In Conversation on Sunday nights from 6-7pm. The other 1WAY Café presenters are also moving to new timeslots. We would like to thank Michael, Dean, David and Alex for sharing their mornings with us.
We would like to introduce Luke and Susie, our new 9am-12pm weekday presenters. The husband and wife team deliver hope, inspiration and some laughs to their listeners on a daily basis, on Christian radio around Australia. The Luke & Susie Show speaks to some of the biggest names in music, television and books, and some inspirational people who aren’t necessarily household names. With a focus on faith, family and culture, they love to get you involved in on-air conversations and competitions.
There will be also be a new local show giving you a selection of Christian contemporary, Gospel and other styles of music, mostly from the 20th century. Music Retrospective is presented by our long time volunteer David Webb and will be heard Sundays 7:30am to 8:00am, before our weekly local sermon, Message from a Pastor.
Who said exploring the big questions of life shouldn’t be fun? Bigger Questions is a radio show recorded live in Melbourne’s CBD. A guest is interviewed about a particular big question. We hear their answer to the question, their story and also how the Bible influences that answer. The concept is a fun and thoughtful forum – all recorded in half an hour at lunch. You’ll be able to hear it at 11pm on Sundays.
After 20 years of letting Australia know what Christian music is charting, the Hot 25 Countdown has had their last show. Much thanks to the team in 96five Brisbane for all their great work over the years.
