What is Miracles Day?

Miracles Day is an inspiring annual event held each August when Christian radio stations around Australian join forces with CBM to give the Miracle gift of sight-saving surgery to people living with cataracts in the world’s poorest countries.

On Miracles Day, Australians are asked to give a $33 ‘Miracle’ to give sight-saving surgery to someone living in poverty.

In 2017, 26 radio stations participated in Miracles Day, and their listeners provided 33,785 Miracle gifts of sight saving surgery.

During the last five years, compassionate Australians have given more than 115,000 Miracle gifts of sight (a total of more than $2.6million in donations).

This year, we are hoping generous radio listeners will donate 35,000 Miracle gifts of sight (a total of $1,155,000 donations) restoring hope to 35,000 people who are unnecessarily blind from cataracts – which can be fixed with simple 12 minute surgery.

You can give someone sight with a $33 donation. This will pay for expert surgeons to delicately remove a cloudy cataract lens and replace it with a new, clear one that will restore someone’s sight for life!

In as little as 12 minutes, someone can be taken from darkness to sight. That’s why we call it a Miracle. Will you join us and give a Miracle?
