Heroes of the Faith: Mother Teresa

Heroes of the Faith: Mother Teresa

This week’s Heroes of the Faith features Mother Teresa.

Mother Teresa was born to Albanian parents in a humble home in a small village. Early in her life she felt the call of God and initially went to teach in Ireland. Later she moved to Calcutta where she remained for most of her life. She felt God ask her to bring the gospel of Jesus in practical ways. She taught and cared for the physical health of the most marginalised. She said: I’m God’s pencil and he uses me to write whatever he wants.”
