Heroes of the Faith this week features Hudson Taylor.
Born in England, Hudson, was a groundbreaker in bringing the gospel to the inland regions of China. He relied completely on God in China for his daily food, provisions and for direction in his ministry. Controversially for those days, he dressed and grew his hair in the manner of a Chinese man so that he was better able to be accepted by the people. His ministry grew and over time others came to join him. There are modern missionaries today still working for the organisation OMF International, which Taylor founded.
