The Bethany Group invites ladies to meet with God and receive food for the soul.
The speaker for the June 2nd Soup and Slice luncheon is Betty Moore from Sydney. Luncheon cost is $8.
Betty became a Christian over sixty years ago. She has a master’s degree in science, spent five years working in a research laboratory in Britain and been successful as an international hurdler and sprinter, breaking a World Record and winning two silver medals at the Commonwealth games in 1962. Her passion has been to spread the gospel to young people a task she carried out by being involved in Girls’ Brigade for at years. Her experience on the State Executive of that organisation and her position as a member of the board of Athletics NSW has given her some insight into the necessity for good governance. Her other passions include anything to do with sport, books or travel.
