Christian Mentor program for 11/12 students to mentor youth on a holiday program for youth with physical and intellectual disabilities
Synergy youth will be running a holiday program for youth with intellectual disabilities in the October School Holidays. If any young Christian leaders may like the opportunity to mentor youth on the holiday program, they are welcome to attend an introduction workshop in July led by a Disability Advocate and Educator.
We also have Abby Reese who was the pastoral care coordinator and executive teacher from Black Mountain Specialist School who will run a program that will cover infomation needed to mentor the youth. There will also be Christian training looking at the biblical perspective of disabilities and inclusion, this will be led by CBM Luke 14, presented by Dr Louise Gosbell

The Information afternoon and workshop for year 11/12 students is for a mentoring program for:
A Spring Christian Holiday Program
For youth with intellectual and physical disabilities
The Spring Holiday program will be held in the October school holidays at Black Mountain School from 2nd-7th October.
The Workshop will be led by a Disability Advocate and Educator who will discuss the benefits and student outcomes achieved through mentoring programs with youth with disabilities. He will cover topics such as improved communication skills, vocational opportunities and ways of supporting social skills development.
There will also be opportunity to hear how to apply to become a mentor and information about the training and application process.
Please feel free to attend the workshop even if you are unable to mentor on the Holiday program, a Gold Coin Donation would be appreciated
