FINDING A UNIQUE CREATIVE IDENTITY

Session 1
The prophetic gift in art history:
• looking at major artworks and how they display elements of the prophetic.
• Analysing their visual language- what makes them effective?
Communicating your vision
Developing your own style
• What works for you?
Mediums and style – looking at the different types of media, both 2D and 3D, that are used by artists today. Not everyone can paint like Rembrandt, but with perseverance and a broad mind, you can work within your ability and find a mode of delivery that works for you.
• Developing your own personal iconography:
Thinking beyond the Christian clichés to begin creating your own visual language.
The bible has rich and imaginative visual symbolism, but we are not limited to these symbols. One of the unique gifts that humans have, as being made in the image of God the creator, is that we are creative, imaginative beings. So, celebrate it- stretch it and exercise it- think outside the box! Don’t be scared to be unique.

Session 2
• Workshop and Individual feedback
Bring along works from home that you are not happy with to rework and experiment with.
• Putting it all together
Shared time of worship and seeking the presence of the Holy spirit; Engaging in a time of creative, artistic worship.

COST: $60 for both days, $40 for one day
We encourage participants to attend both days to receive the full benefit of the Prophetic Art Workshop. Please bring your own painting/drawing gear.
There are limited spaces so be quick to reserve your spot for this Creative Worship weekend you won’t want to miss.
