An evening of sacred story, song, prayer and reflection with Biblical Storyteller – Jeff Lawrence
We will hear stories from the New and Old Testaments, some as written in the Scriptures, others in the character of Biblical persons, e.g. Thomas, a prodigal’s father, a shepherd’s son, etc, culminating in the telling of John’s Passion.
Our great commission is to tell God’s story to all nations, just as Jesus told the story of the Father in His time and as the disciples told the story of Jesus. Come & join us as we hear the ‘good news’ told in Biblical storytelling format (as the Scriptures were told before the Gospels were written).
Jeff has served the community as Biblical storyteller since 1999. He is spiritual director, retreat facilitator & church pastor and has a passion to tell God’s story. As Jeff says ‘the heart of God’s story is the story of God’s heart ~ especially as revealed in Jesus. Jeff completed a Master of Ministry degree with a thesis on ‘Biblical Storytelling Spirituality.’ He has worked with the Network of Biblical Storytellers & Wycliffe Story the Bible.
