Event Type

Senator Amanda Stoker and Mr Luke Gosling OAM MP invite you to the 30th Australian National Prayer Breakfast!

This will be a wonderful opportunity to gather in Christ’s name and pray for the Father’s blessing in every aspect of Australian life. Some Members and Senators, as well as our guest speaker, will be sharing with us their faith journey in their demanding roles of service to this great nation.

It is a great pleasure to announce that the Governor General, His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) will be the guest speaker at this year’s Prayer Breakfast. We are honoured that the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley will be joining us.

At a time when the role of faith in public life is being questioned and challenged, the National Prayer Breakfast is an important opportunity to join together with the Christian community across Australia in recognition of the many shared values and aspirations we hold for our nation and her people.

When we pray to our God and Father, we are reminded of our own frailties, our need for forgiveness and of the solemn responsibility of using power for the benefit of others. We pray that men and women in national leadership will discover a new strength through the fellowship of the followers of Jesus Christ, and that they will know God’s wisdom and strength in all their service.

Why not host a table of 10? It will be a most memorable experience to share with your church or other community group. This is a rare opportunity for those living in or near Canberra, but definitely worth any further travel!

All are welcome. Hope to see you there!
