Whether you already homeschool, or are curious about it, you’ll be sure to get some gems from their sharing. This is a great event to bring friends interested in homeschooling or looking for encouragement in raising their children in God’s ways. Topics covered will also include parenting and marriage, pending interest.

Children welcome

At the moment we’re looking to get expressions of interest to know the number of people to cater for and to book an appropriately sized venue. There is also a possibility of having a children’s program run during some of the sessions if families are interested.

Please call, email or text Hayden and Rhonda with your expression of interest or enquiries. They are keen to hear your burning questions about homeschooling, parenting, marriage and the Christ-centred life, and will cater the program to answer these.

Introducing: The Gillie Family and Christ Centred Families Australia

Hayden and Rhonda live on a country property close to Warrnambool in the beautiful South West region of Victoria.
They have been married for 32 years, have been blessed with nine children, 6 girls/3 boys, and have home educated for 25 years. What a journey!
Hayden has always been self-employed. Over the years as a gardening contractor and more recently very involved in housing and real estate development which we do, as much as possible, as a family. Rhonda married a visionary and has had to hang on for the ride but really, in many ways, she is the glue and brains of the outfit. Rhonda is the home maker. She is the organiser, the one who manages to pull all things together, the servant hearted one who blesses others in practical ways. Definitely a busy wife and mother!
Following a God given calling or vision can be daunting. Hayden and Rhonda, with the support of family and friends, have sensed the importance of “going out” to share their testimony with the intention of encouraging and inspiring families, especially those who home-school, or who would love to and are prayerfully considering it.
Having Christ centred families is a God inspired aspiration. Like the Apostle Paul we have not attained but we press on (Phil. 3:12). Individually and in our families we are very often not Christ centred. Home-schooling provides a wonderful environment to nurture this calling on our lives.
We are trusting, by God’s grace to impart, something of the reality of following our Lord Jesus, by faith, into restoring what it means to be Christ centred families in a society that is destroying its own foundations and is at enmity with the traditional view of marriage and family.
The ministry of home education is more important than the mechanics. Character development is more important than curriculum. We are called to “Live to Love”. We are looking forward to meeting like-minded families and fellow pilgrims on the narrow way. We are believing to see Godly vision birthed and confirmed as we fellowship with God and each other. These things we write that your joy may be full. 1 John 1:3-4.
