FREE CLEMENTE SUMMER COMMUNITY ART CLASSES: VANITAS STILL LIFE PAINTING
Enrolments are now open to join artist Naomi Zouwer for 3 fun and creative art classes working towards a still life painting in a supportive environment.
Naomi Zouwer is an experienced arts educator and practicing artist who is interested in exploring ideas of identity and belonging through drawing and painting objects that have meaning to the artist. Students will explore symbolism in still life painting as well as learn traditional painting techniques and approaches.
Classes will run 9.30 am to 11.30 am at the ACU Campus in Watson and are run by St Vincent de Paul Society with the support of the University. Clemente aim to not only teach art skills, but to support people who feeling isolated.
Session 1 January 31st 2020 : tone and proportion β create an underpainting in a few umber and white
Session 2 February 7th 2020 : colour study β colour mixing β applying layers of colour using glazes
Session 3 February 14th 2020 : details and finishing painting
Classes are FREE and all levels of experience are welcome. Lunch is also provided. Please do note classes are for adults β participants must be 18 years or older.
