Are you looking for a way to help someone in your local community?
Moving to a new country can be tough, especially if you speak a different language – learning to adjust to new surroundings, make new friends and learn a language can be difficult and isolating. For Refugees and Asylum Seekers, this process is all the more difficult.
Many of you have asked how you can help people in your own communities who come from differing backgrounds. Now is your chance! The ESL ministry is a practical way to assist those needing to learn English and adjust to a new culture.
Our ESL training course, run by experienced trainers from Anglicare Sydney, will provide you with the opportunity to learn key skills and give you the confidence to set up your own ESL class. The course will cover training in ESL methods, the practicalities of setting up and running classes, writing ESL resources and more.
