Dirrum Dirrum is a decade old festival which reminds us that we are all interconnected, and through our relationships, we can create a more harmonious society. Our theme for this year is Sonder, a neologism for the profound realization that every conscious being is experiencing a life as complex as one’s own.

On the 12th of August from 4-9pm at our very own Morison Center at Radford, our community will come alive with the Dirrum Dirrum Festival. We create this festival each year to inspire, uplift, and ignite a new generation of activism.

On the night you can expect a variety of thought-provoking guest speakers, such as the award-winning author of Boy Swallows Universe Trent Dalton and filmmaker Brenda Matthews who’s film The Last Daughter is now on Netflix, in addition to countless other artists and activists who will share their stories of resilience, perseverance, and triumph.

In addition to the captivating speeches, the festival will feature an array of food, live music performances, goods and stalls; Showcasing the richness of diverse cultures and the talent of local Canberrans. From cuisine to crafts, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate.
