Queanbeyan Players return to host their third annual Christmas at The B charity event in 2023. In 2021, Queanbeyan Players raised funds for a local Queanbeyan family, the Loadsmans, who were fighting a battle with MND. In 2022, funds raised went to MND NSW, and Queanbeyan Players will be supporting this charity again in 2023.
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is the name for a group of diseases that affects particular nerves known as motor nerves, or motor neurons. In MND, those neurons generate and die and slowly the muscles become weaker. This eventually leads to paralysis. It is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS. The average life expectancy after diagnosis, is one to five years.
The B will once again be set up with cabaret style seating for tables of 10 people. Full tables can be booked, with individual tickets also available.
The night will be full of fun with the QP Christmas Choir singing carols, rounds of trivia, and a raffle. Special Guests on the night will be Prism Jazz Ensemble.
