Beyond… A concert involving EMMY G!
An exciting programme of classical music to encourage and uplift Canberra audiences. Michael Dooley one of Canberra’s leading composers and musicians presents a programme featuring four of Canberra’s most prestigious soloists and the Llewellyn Choir conducted by Rowan Harvey Martin.
The programme includes:
“The Land that is Very Far Off”: A melodic celtic flavoured rhapsody for solo violin and ensemble, composed by Michael Dooley, performed by incredible violinist Timothy Wickham
“7 Prayers of the Saviour”: A brand new, joyful sacred Oratorio for choir and orchestra composed by Michael Dooley’s son William Dooley age 13, performed as a gift for Dad’s birthday, based on 7 of Jesus’ prayers in the gospels.
“Perpetua” A Hauntingly beautiful new Oratorio for soloists choir and orchestra composed by Michael Dooley. This celebrates the faith, courage and vision of 3rd century Carthage Christian martyr Vibia Perpetua who looked beyond her tragic circumstances to a world of indescribable peace and beauty. A tribute to the persecuted church around the world.
Featuring: Emma Griffiths (EMMY G!), Dan Walker, Andrew Fysh and Veronica Thwaites-Brown with the Llewellyn Choir conducted by Rowan Harvey-Martin.
