Expo of Christmas Nativity Artwork:

A wonderful opportunity for people of all faiths and none to explore the “real meaning of Christmas”. Featuring 200+ displays from 45+ countries, the exhibition highlights the cultural diversity of the Christmas story, from Vietnam to India, from the Occupied Palestinian Territories to indigenous peoples of the Amazon rain forests. Recent additions include Australian indigenous artwork from Arrernte country in Central Australia and from Wiradjuri country in NSW. Of particular interest are brass figures carved out of bullet casings from weapons fired in the 14-year Liberian civil war 1989-2003, and a Palestinian Nativity depicting the dividing wall and watch towers that divide modern Bethlehem – the Magi (‘three kings’) from the East are locked out!
