CBM Miracles Day 2017

CBM Miracles Day

YOU can give someone the Miracle of sight for just $32

On Miracles Day, join us as we give the Miracle gift of sight-saving surgery to children, men and women living with cataract blindness in some of the world’s poorest countries.

Last year on Miracles Day, we joined forces to give over 27,000 Miracle gifts of sight to some of the world’s poorest people, through CBM Australia.

This year, let’s go even further and restore sight and hope to 30,000 people who are unnecessarily blind from cataracts – which can be fixed with simple 12 minute surgery.

Margil and her brother Aljon were both born with cataracts in both eyes. They couldn’t see their parents’ faces and had to drop out of school because they couldn’t see the blackboard. Their parent’s knew something was wrong, but didn’t know where to go for help. Earlier this year, a CBM supported outreach worker found the family. Watch the video below to see what happens next.

Thanks to the generosity of CBM’s supporters, Marjil and Aljon were able to receive the cataract surgery they needed. Now, they’re both back in school and looking forward to a new life full of new opportunities.

You can give someone sight with a $32 donation. This will pay for expert surgeons to delicately remove a cloudy cataract lens and replace it with a new, clear one that will restore someone’s sight for life!

In as little as 12 minutes, someone can be taken from darkness to sight. That’s why we call it a Miracle. Will you join us and give a Miracle?
