Hi, I’m Erielle!
I’ve been working side-by-side with Jenny and the team as an intern for 4 weeks. Throughout this time, I’ve been able to experience and get a glimpse of the station from on-air to online and social media content production. I’ve been able to match faces to voices on the radio and even went on-air myself!
My time at the station has been filled with so much support, wisdom, and knowledge from the amazing team here. Each person came together and brought something different to the team and the environment – with the focus always on faith, hope, and Jesus.
During the June Appeal, it was evident that Jesus is continuously working in and through the station – everyone showed up, answering phone call after the other, having a chat on-air for hours on end, and taking snapshots of these moments so that we – the listeners – could see what it’s like to be a part of this station.
Even though everyone was tired and exhausted from the long days, each of them kept smiling, laughing, and having a good time in each other’s company.
Being here, I can really feel the warmth from everyone.
They all welcomed me with open hearts.
The June Appeal is just one example of how hard-working and admirable everyone is here.
Thank you to Jenny, for guiding and mentoring me throughout my time here! Jenny took on my internship hands-on and on top of all the amazing things she already does for the station.
Thank you to Kieren (a.k.a. K-man), for all the jokes and for teaching me the process of publishing podcasts! Kieren is such a talented and creative individual.
Thank you to Mercy and Tandy, for all the chats, laughs, and encouragement! Mercy and Tandy are lovely people that immediately welcomed me into the family at the station.
Finally, a huge thank you to the 1WAY FM family, for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful organisation (even if it was for a short time) that encourages and reminds the Canberra Region and me of the hope found in Jesus.
