Like always Bethany Dillon presents us with a CD that is perfect to sit down to after a hard day at work.

Her opening song Get up and Walk is about going out and spreading God's message. The gentle acoustic guitar and light happy atmosphere gives way to the powerful messages that Bethany presents throughout each of her songs, each with its unique message. The songs have a rhythmic country feel to them which gives the album a casual and almost tranquil feel which is common in many of Bethany Dillon's albums.

The song Stop & Listen speaks about listening to God and taking the time to stop and spend time with him despite the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, a good reminder of what's really important. Although the messages she is conveying are powerful, don't expect to hear anything drastically different musically from her previous albums. Although they are great to listen to and she has a beautiful voice, the tone and sound of the music doesn't vary much throughout the album - but that's fine if you dig her sound!

However if you are looking for something meaningful that is not going to blare at you very loudly making it impossible for you to hear the message its trying to convey, then I would highly recommend getting this CD. Stop and Listen may not offer many surprises but it does present a powerful massage with great lyrics, beautiful music and an amazing voice.
